News broke on Saturday with Luke Marlow on Racing HQ that SHEZA ALIBI ‘could’ be coming for the Winx Stakes.

I thought to myself…….

Probably not.

But here we are!

She won from an impossible spot (8.6-lengths from the leader at the 600m).

And she picked them up in a couple of strides. It was over at the furlong.

I love backing lightly raced horses who return after they went out on a high.

She’s full of confidence and if Peter Moody didn’t think she’d win, wouldn’t he have taken the ‘easy’ option? Next week in the Memsie Stakes.

If she gets the gap at the right time, she has the turn of foot to take advantage.

Now, if you’re keen for another.

I reckon BONIFACE (Randwick R5) should get the chocolates.

He was a dead set certainty beaten last start.

Badly held-up before hitting the line strongly when clear.

He can make amends.
