Horses To Follow - Rosehill
Rosehill was a fill up for our Members on Saturday. We had four bets and three of them won - KING PEDRO at $5.17, SURF’S UP at $3.24, THEBUDGIESMUGLA at $3, BELLA CORAZON at $8.69, the miss was KING PEDRO and he was an absolute certainty beaten.

The meeting played relatively fair, most of the winners came to the middle of the track but it wasn’t disadvantageous to settle on speed as those that did just angled to the better going in the straight.
Here are our horses to follow from the meeting:
KING PEDRO: Absolute certainty beaten. He was slow to begin which meant that he settled well back and, on the fence, which wasn’t the place to be. Prince Eric rolled forward on the three wide line about 800m from home, I though that Anna Roper should have tried to follow him, but maybe she didn’t have the opportunity – the question should have been asked by stewards. A run closed on him at the furlong, but he really hit the line hard when clear with 150m to go. He wins in one more stride. Senior jockey next time would suit.
TARZING: The market loved him first-up. He was a bit slow to begin but wasn’t bustled, happy to settle out the back. He was in limited room for most of the straight, when he did get clear inside the final furlong he found the line well - his best work was through the line. He can only strip fitter for that effort and should improve second-up. Look for him next time from a better draw with a senior jockey booked.
BENEVAC: He didn’t have much luck. He was a touch slow to begin before being restrained for cover, he didn’t find it. He covered extra ground four wide out on a limb forward of midfield on an above average tempo for the class. He did a terrific job to keep finding the line despite having a tough run. He can improve third-up over further with a more economical run.
Have a great week,
BJ
