Coolmore Stud Stakes G1
His Golden Rose run was as good as anything in the race. He sat outside the leader on a hot tempo, surged to the front and stuck on for third. Before that he was third in the Run To The Rose after a slow start. Barrier 1 is the only negative I can find, as the outside is usually the place to be down the straight. At double-figure odds, he's the value. Blake Shinn rides.
Won the Danehill Stakes here first-up on a heavy track, settling back and letting rip late. He won three of four last preparation and just missed in the fourth. Mark Zahra rides for Ciaron Maher. The favourite and deserves to be, and barrier 14 suits, as the outside is usually a positive in straight races.
Two wins and two seconds from four starts. He ran second to Warwoven in both the Run To The Rose and the Golden Rose, and in the Golden Rose he got into a bumping match and still surged through the line. He's had a freshen since, and James McDonald rides from barrier 6.
Four wins from five starts, including the Group 2 at Rosehill last start where she came from sixth on the turn and won comfortably. Her other win this preparation was a Group 3 over 1100m here at Flemington. Ben Melham rides and the 55kg helps. Drawn barrier 4, and she rates highest on our numbers, so she can't be left out.
