The $10 million Golden Eagle for four-year-olds. Sheza Alibi is the star and a short favourite, with Beiwacht and Skyhook next in the market. Asahi Super Dry Golden Eagle
Easy to tie her form in with the likes of Skyhook. She started shorter than him when they clashed in Queensland and was no match, but that was on a Heavy 9 surface. First-up, Skyhook and Beiwacht had a fitness advantage, but she was the one powering through the line. That was her first run as a four-year-old mare and, although it's a career peak, it could be her new base. She gets a good run from the low draw and the extra trip suits. Can win.
The star mare and the one they all have to beat. She chased home in the Caulfield Stakes and won the Makybe Diva before that. Drops back from 2000m to 1500m, which she's handled before, and Luke Nolen rides from barrier 6. Very short in the market, and the question is whether she's flat coming back in trip.
A Group 1 winner in the Rosehill Guineas in March, then second to Sheza Alibi in both the Doncaster and the Makybe Diva. He got no run at the vital stage of the Epsom last start and could have finished a lot closer. Zac Purton rides for Chris Waller from barrier 5. Right in the mix.
A class front-runner who'll look to dictate. He won the Group 1 All Aged Stakes here in April and the Group 1 Memsie at Caulfield in August, both leading. Third in the Silver Eagle last start after doing some work from barrier 1 and getting run down late. Nash Rawiller rides for Chris Waller from barrier 10.
