The Everest
Randwick · Saturday 17 October
This is exactly how our members see every race. Our TLU Top 4 with write-ups, our suggested bet and the speed map.
Around 100mm of rain hit Randwick this week. The track has improved to a Soft 7, so this will be a very different Everest to last year. Here is our full race preview, the same one our members get.
The Everest WFA
The world's best sprinter and last year's winner. He has been breaking track records in Hong Kong and won his last start by almost eight lengths. He rates well clear of this field, and the only real question is the rain-affected track.
Has a superb turn of foot and has won both starts this time in, including the Group 2 here on a Soft 6. She was runner-up in this race last year, has won seven of eight at Randwick and draws the rail. Clearly the next best.
A terrific first-up winner, then never got onto the track in The Shorts when he was stuck behind horses with no pressure up front. He has won a trial since, beating Ka Ying Rising. His best figure puts him right in this.
Having her third run in the race and only just missed a place last year. She has won three of six since and was very good first-up in The Shorts, racing three-wide and giving everything. Fitter second-up.
