Horses To Follow - Rosehill

It was a testing track at Rosehill which stayed in the Heavy 9 range throughout the day. As the meeting played out it was no disadvantage to run on, with horses coming down the middle to outside of the track. These three horses will go very close to winning at their next start:

MISTER RIZZ: Shangri La Impact led much too quickly here and this bloke was having his second start in Australia, he was clearly the best of the horses that sat close to that brutal tempo. He was in the box seat, surged to the front at the top of the straight and was no match late in a race that was set up for the closers. His Australian debut was in a slowly run affair, he went approx. 14-lengths faster here to the 800m – he can strip much fitter next time we see him.

ZAMBARDO: Ready now. He came through a couple of slowly run races as his foundation to rise to 2000m third-up. He sat closer to a very fast tempo, loomed into the race and just peaked over the concluding stages. Expect him to be at his absolute peak fourth-up over a similar trip.

THEBUDGIESMUGLA: His was just about the run of the day. He was a touch slow to begin before working for the first half of the race on a very fast tempo, he eventually got to sit outside the leader. He had the hide to surge to the front at the top of the straight and didn’t shirk his task late, he was coming back through the line. Back to 2400m next time under handicap conditions will suit.
